Dear Colleagues,

I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend.  Last week, the first wave of CSSD physicians became UC San Diego faculty members.  In our Department alone, we welcomed 54 faculty members on September 1st.  This is a historic moment for the Department of Pediatrics, UC San Diego Health Sciences, Children’s Specialists of San Diego, and Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego.  With the creation of the Rady Children’s Specialists of San Diego – A Medical Foundation, we are in effect fully integrating clinical care, teaching, and research with the goal of advancing children’s health at the regional, national, and global levels.
